In the December All Hands, we are recognizing Global Accounts and Telco team members from across the organization for their commitment to their communities through Service Learning. This fund includes two non-profits that are supported by members of the team. Bridgeport Rescue Mission and Trans-Forme. All money collected will be divided equally between the two organizations. The Bridgeport Rescue Mission Bridgeport Rescue Mission provides food and clothing distribution, addiction recovery, a woman’s shelter for families in crisis and a men’s shelter for recovery and job loss. Each fall, John Palmieri organizes a turkey drive in support of the this organization and in it's 5th year, the John Palmieri Memorial Turkey Drive raised over $30,000 and helped feed 1,000 families in Connecticut. Jerome Asseray, Matthieu Gross, Thierry Hareng and other VMware employees raise money each year through the Course du Couer, a 500 mile/800 kilometer bike tour across France that supports Trans-Forme, an organization that promotes organ donation and transplants. For the 2022 edition, the team has a goal of raising €35,000.
