Trans Lifeline is a national trans-led organization dedicated to improving the quality of trans lives by responding to the critical needs of our community with direct service, material support, advocacy, and education. Our vision is to fight the epidemic of trans suicide and improve overall life-outcomes of trans people by facilitating justice-oriented, collective community aid.
Trans Families/Gender Odyssey Alliance
Trans Families inspires hope, increases understanding, and creates a visible pathway to support trans and gender-diverse children and all those who touch their lives. As our mission states, Trans Families seeks to inspire hope, increase understanding, and create a visible pathway to support trans and gender-diverse children, and all those who touch their lives. As we’ve reflected on how we might best accomplish this, we’ve named what we feel is the core foundation of our work – showing up in a “heart first” way. Trans Families is committed to building community where connections are scarce. Families of gender diverse children often feel a sense of personal isolation, challenges finding accurate resources, and an inability to make connections with other families who have shared experience
Trans Student Educational Resources
Trans Student Educational Resources is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender nonconforming students through advocacy and empowerment. In addition to our focus on creating a more trans-friendly education system, our mission is to educate the public and teach trans activists how to be effective organizers. We believe that justice for trans and gender nonconforming youth is contingent on an intersectional framework of activism. Ending oppression is a long-term process that can only be achieved through collaborative action.
Trans Empowerment Project
Elevating QTPOC and other folks across the gender spectrum out of crisis and into empowerment in order to advocate for their own liberation and autonomy.
Belong to Youth Services
BeLonG To’s mission is to support LGBTI+ young people as equals to achieve our vision through youth work, changing attitudes, and research.
Mermaids overarching aim is to create a world where gender diverse children and young people can be themselves and thrive; to this end, our goal is to relieve the mental and emotional stress of all those aged 19 years and under who are transgender, nonbinary and gender variant, as well as to promote education and awareness.
Our vision is to help build a just society and our mission to secure rights, health and development for marginalized people.
We work with the most disadvantaged people, giving priority to women and children - people living with HIV, tuberculosis and leprosy; Dalits (literally 'broken people' - the 'untouchables' of India) and the most discriminated among them; Tribals (indigenous people), women in prostitution, transgendered people, sexual minorities (LGBT), children at risk and people with disability.
Our strategy is to mainstream gender, child rights, disability and the needs of the most disadvantaged people of the area. We provide direct services to fill gaps in existing facilities where necessary. But the main strategy is to encourage and support community volunteers and community based organizations to advocate for their rights and entitlements.
