About

In memory of our colleague Imogen Boaler Farlie, this fund will support adrenal cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Imogen came to Intuitive in 2018 as part of the Cortex team. Before joining Intuitive, she had worked as an oncology nurse in the UK and then worked in Allison Okamura’s lab at Stanford University. As part of the Cortex team, Imogen worked with many of Cortex’s early clinical partners, helping with agreements, supporting the data capture hardware, and testing the early versions of the Intuitive Data Recorder (IDR). She created strong relationships with these partners, and she was always willing to help others. Imogen was smart, funny, and kind. She loved hummingbirds, puzzles, color, and food. Imogen was diagnosed with adrenal cancer while working at Intuitive, and she passed away last month. There is a lack of research and proven treatment options available for adrenal cancer. While Imogen is no longer with us, two clinical trials and more research on adrenal cancer are underway at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Money raised from this fund will go to support those trials and continue research, hoping that others who are diagnosed with adrenal cancer can benefit.
