American Forests

American Forests is the nation's oldest conservation organization, protecting and restoring forests for more than 140 years. Since 1990 alone, the organization has planted more than 50 million trees, helping to restore forests in all 50 states and nearly 50 countries. This year, millions more trees will be planted in dozens of forest conservation projects. Together, these projects recover hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, safeguard vital watersheds, absorb millions of tons of greenhouse gases, and protect some of the most stunning landscapes in America. American Forests is also a leading advocate for using trees and green space to make American cities more sustainable, beautiful, and livable.
