UN SDG1 : Poverty eradication Fund
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, on top of decades of half measures to fully address systems of inequality, is staggering. The war against Ukraine - in addition to causing untold suffering and devastation - will only aggravate efforts to achieve this mission. The ongoing crisis, and its unfolding repercussions, are only a stark and violent reminder that we need more action now, everywhere. Nearly 100 million more people have been pushed into extreme poverty due to COVID-19, wiping away 6 years of progress. 45 million people are on the brink of starvation. Over 85 million are on the move, fleeing conflict, including nearly 13 million who have fled their homes from Ukraine. There was insufficient progress from world leaders in 2021, despite numerous opportunities at the G7, G20, and COP26 meetings. We have created this fund to improve opportunities for women and girls around the world, address the systemic barriers that keep people in poverty, and halt the climate crisis. Your donation will be addressing these issues by eliminating the barriers that have prevented us from ending extreme poverty and committing to financing levels that will allow for real sustainable progress. Every crisis, and every person living in poverty, deserves to receive our support and solidarity. SOLIDARIEDADE NA MOKILI is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible. Children in Yemen are starving to die Fund
Yemen is one of the most food-insecure countries in the world. Long before the conflict began, child malnutrition was widespread. More than 85,000 children have died as a result of the famine as of 2018. The following month, a report by Save the Children estimated that 85,000 children under the age of five have died from starvation and malnutrition. Millions of children in Yemen are at risk of starvation amid the coronavirus pandemic, which is tipping the war-torn nation into further devastation, the United Nations warned, appealing for nearly $500m in urgent humanitarian assistance. Another 6,600 children under the age of five could also die from preventable causes, as the pandemic has weakened the country’s struggling healthcare system and disrupted services. This project gives money to pregnant women and women with children under the age of five, this money to buy food and teaches them about child nutrition. Investing in the future of Yemen’s children by addressing their education, health, and mental well-being needs offer the best chance of ensuring their recovery and the country’s long-term peace and stability. Every time we feed a child, we feed our future. Please join us by investing in the future we all share with a donation to our Yemen Children’s Relief Fund. U.S-Mexico Border Crisis Children's Fund
There are more than 5,000 unaccompanied children in US Customs and Border Protection custody, according to documents obtained by CNN, up from 4,500 children days earlier. According to data collected by the Pew Research Center, 18,945 migrants were apprehended at the border in January and February, an increase of 168 percent. And 9,297 unaccompanied minors were apprehended at the border, a 63 percent increase. The growing number of unaccompanied children at the border is adding greater stress to the system and has overwhelmed resources, which had already been strained as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Children's rights continue to be violated at the border. Vulnerable and terrified, young boys and girls are being held in custody longer than the legal limit, being separated from their families, and more. Solidariedade Na Mokili is on the ground at the U.S.-Mexico Border, assisting families who have been released from U.S. detention facilities. Your 100 % tax-deductible donation will support our programmatic and advocacy work at the border. We work to save lives, defeat poverty, and also provide tools for sustainable change to the people most vulnerable to hunger, violence, and disease.
